About Our Business

System-Predictive Technologies conducts basic research in Situated-
Systems-Predictive Technologies.

These technologies are founded on the
ATIS Options Set, an axiomatic theory
model designed to analyze behavioral systems.  Behavioral systems are such
systems as business organizations, educational systems, employee application
programs, military recruitment programs, etc.

As a result of these technologies, software will be developed that will be of value
to any business or industry where predictive behaviors are of value.  This theory
has been of especial value to the development of educational theory, and, in
particular, to the development of
SimEd, a theory-building and
educational-predictive program being developed by Professor
Theodore W.
Frick, Indiana University.

ATIS was developed by Kenneth R. Thompson in the 1990's when he read the
work done by Ted Frick that extended the
SIGGS Theory Model by providing
relevant classifications of the theory properties.  Also of especial interest to the
extension of the SIGGS Theory Model was the work of Ted Frick that developed
APT (Analysis of Patterns in Time), a concept that ATIS can utilize in the
determination of system measures.  However, as a result of the work on
ATIS,
APT has now been extended to APT&C -- Analysis of Patterns in Time and
Configuration.  The "Configuration" analysis is a result of the analyses that will
be required when analyzing system structures under
ATIS.

Ken Thompson worked on the initial development of the
SIGGS Theory Model in
the 1960's as a mathematical consultant on the project that developed the
SIGGS model.
Transition from A-GSBT
(Axiomatic-General Systems Behavioral
Theory)
to ATIS  (Axiomatic Theories
of Intentional Systems)

Initially I had used A-GSBT to identify the
theory that is being developed.  Such
identification was desired to emphasize
its close association with General
Systems Theory.  However, the use of the
term behavioral was not desirable, but did
indicate my intent.  However, it is believed
that a more accurate representation of the
theory is entailed by "
Axiomatic Theories
of Intentional Systems
."  This eliminates
the undesirable reference to "behavioral"
and focuses more on the actual nature of
the types of systems of concern; that is,
those that are "
intentional."  In view of this,
future references will be with respect to
ATIS.
